letter of invitation from private citizens at jeddah consulate? Some Pakistani and non-Pakistani friends (American & Europeans) and I are planning a trip to Pakistan next month, with the Pakistanis serving as hosts.
Has anybody had any success obtaining a visa using an invitation letter from private citizens?
The Pakistani consulate in Jeddah, KSA, doesn't specify the requirements for invitation letters, which makes me wonder if they are the same as for other consulates.

2All of you guys who are applying for your Pakistani visas in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Are you working there? If yes then you can get your Pak--visas by showing them the proof like work permit that you guys are working in Jeddah. In this case you can get your visas through an invitation letter from Pakistani citizen.

3Yes, we're all residents of Saudi Arabia, so there's no problem there (we just bring copies of our residency permits and our Saudi visa sponsor letters).
But we got information today through the consulate saying that tourists don't need invitation letters. Any ideas?

4Well, if they say tourists don't need invitation letters then leave it and don't bring it. In case if they ask then provide them one. I think only the residency permits would be sufficiant leave the other things like Saudi Visa sponsor letters. You can provide them these things even after wards if they asked.
It really depends on the embassy or consulates, in different consulates/embassies they ask for different paper work. I think you should better visit the consulate in person in order to know what exactly they ask for when they issue Pakistani visas.
Wish you all the success.

6Its close to impossible to obtain Pakistani tourist visa in the host countries but nothing is wrong with giving it a try.
Usually they accept LOI from Pakistan based tour operator.
