Myanmar and foreigner sharing one Hotel room really hasnt been a problem for me ever ... No legal problem with that. If there is a law forbidding that then its not enforced (in most cases).

What I wanted to add about OP´s dilemma is that he shouldnt think about nationalities so much. Love is much the same in any country. Meet a girl, spent time with her, see where it goes... This applies to Myanmar too. Just look at all the couples at places like Inya Lake. Its perfectly normal for a boy and girl to spent time together

@hilron
"This TT conversation so far is about her but without her and seems to me not to be a good start."

Thats a good point.

HI,

You said that you may change your itinerary to meet up again. Seeing as you will be leaving Myanmar quite soon you really have no option but to tell her what you told us here. Be absolutely honest, tell all and give assurances (assuming here that you are a good guy) and then accept her answer. What more could you do? Best of luck.

it was many years ago...the 2 hotels at taunggyi, the garden GH...all wanted to see marriage cert before allowing us to stay together...of course, big hotels like traders..etc...($300? now) don`t bother....this is also true in laos and some hotels in indonesia...
OP get it done..do what a man has to do!!! don`t forget to get a girl-friendly GH...haha!!!

Glad we didnt have to make this kind of experiences...

I hope Vagabond´s advice to OP to get a "girl-friendly GH" was a joke...

Why should vagabond's reply be a joke Martin?
Sound's like they don't have much time and like each other.

Yeah HW - I thought he said he had a girlfriend too in his opening thread but then I thought I might have misinterpreted what he meant given that he is Vietnamese and his English might not be so good.

Solohobo - did that mean local for either male or female or just females?

Yep - you are right martin. I stand corrected. He did say "had" and not "have".

Hi,

HW you are wrong here, two counts, He did not say he already had a a gf and why do you have to swear on an open forum. Some of us (me) do not like it and surely anyone can express themselves quite adequately without resorting to the profane.
