trouble with vfs global in australia

trouble with vfs global in australia

has anyone lately applied for a standard 6mth visa and sent it to Canberra(Australia) thru vfs global. Tried tracking mine down and there is no record, from the comments on LP, people seem to hate dealing with this company. Anyway would like to know how long it is taking for the visa's to be processed. Leaving in June, thought i had plenty of time!!! thanks

only last Wednesday, just wondering how long its going to take, have heard reports of them losing passports and people waiting 2 mths. I enclosed everything, but not an itinerary as it didnt ask for one as just a single entry. I fthey take 1 mth or more ill be stressing leave early June.

If the application has been filled out correctly it SHOULD only take about 2 weeks.

Did you send it Registered Post or Express Post ? If so Aust Post will have records of it being delivered.

When you say you tried Tracking it down, did you use the VFS Site tracking system ?

rang up aust post and it has been picked up, but when i phone vfs, they dont know where it is!! They said they will email me back after spending $10 on phone call. Yes there is no record on the vfs site tracking system, fingers crossed it works out.

I had recently applied for a tourist visa through canberra office and it went very smooth for me. Got my visa done in 3 days once VFS received my application. To and From transit took 3 and 4 days each side. I called them up and asked the whole procedure as to how it works as i was bit concerned about my passport. The lady in the call centre explained that VFS can only see application in their system once it is received by them( for obvious reasons as they have no control over australia post). Once entered in system, then all is tracked till it is sent back to applicant with the mode of applicant's choice (i even checked the status on their website to be double sure and it works). You may want to call them up and ask your application's status. You will need to provide your details such as name, passport number etc. Hope this helps.....

thanks australia mate, but this is where i got my print out for my visas and also tried to track my passports here as well, with no luck. I havent got email back yet, typical of vfs i think :(
They have picked up from post office 20th April and it isnt showing in their system! They said usually takes 2 weeks, but so far they dont know where they are to even start to track them, mine went to canberra as well.
