15Thanks again for all of ur help. Now I need to know does anyone know where to get the bus in Casablanca back to the airport, cost and times et cetera? If worse came to worse, we could always take the train but the bus is preferable. Thank u in advance.

16Just wanted to thank u again and yes, I am aware that the time is always longer. That is why we are allowing so much more travelling time from Marrakesh to Casa.
I dont like taking the train because sometimes u have to change and my friend and I missed a change a few years ago since the stop was difficult to see. I only noticed it when the train had passed, ha ha.
Thankfully, the conductor helped us go to the right place but it was a pain. I dont want to spend any extra time in Casa but have to land there because of ticket price. It was much better price and connection wise to land in Casa from Heathrow (LHR) than to go from LHR to RAK ( Marrakesh).

17Sasiren, I am confused by your above posts. Are you going to spend anytime in Casablanca for sightseeing? Or are you going to the airport directly? If you and your friend are not interested in spending any extra time in Casa, I don't see any benefit by taking bus from Marrakech to Casablanca then switch to another bus from Casa to the airport. There will be quite a few air travelers from Marrakech taking train heading to Casablanca Airport, they all get off the train at L'Oasis station (a bit south of Casa Voyageurs) and change for the train directly to the Airport. IMO, this makes more sense. And it's almost impossible to miss the train to the airport for two reasons: 1. L'Oasis is a very small station, you simply use the underpass to the other side of the platform 2. There will be lots of other travelers with their big luggage waiting at L'Oasis heading to the airport like you. I do not have any information about the bus from Casablanca to the airport.

18To Njtrekker: Sorry to have confused you. Let me clarify. At the onset of the trip we will be in Casablanca overnight and then head to Rabat the next day. We will spend a few hours in Casa, go to Rabat, then head to Marrakesh by train. At the end of the trip we will return to Casa for the flight back to the US thru London. So at the onset we will spend a few hours sightseeing but on the return, we just want to make sure we make our flight home.
Thanks for the info re: the change at L'Oasis. I was thinking the bus would be better because once I almost got off at the wrong stop on the way to the airport because I asked a female if that was the stop to the airport since so many ppl were getting off and she was disgusted that I do not speak Arabic and my French pronunication is not perfect. A man did help me. He was Moroccan and lived in the US. So, to prevent that I thought the bus might be better. He also told me what she said. She thought I shouldnt be traveling unless I could speak Arabic.
We will also be leaving very early in the morning from Marakesh and I was concerned that there may not be other travelers. If I felt there would be others like us, it would not be a problem.
Thanks for all the info.

19Sasiren, I sincerely hope you'll have a much better luck this time. I cannot believe what that woman said to you. I had exactly the opposite experience while taking the train from Marrakech to Casablanca a couple of months ago. My seatmate is a very friendly and amiable Moroccan man looks in his 30s. He was born and raised in Marrakech but has emigrated to South Africa more than 10 years ago. We shared a lot of things during the 3+ hours train ride. He got off at L'Oasis for the airport to catch his flight back to South Africa. Incidentally, he highly recommended me to make a half day trip to Rabat while in Casablanca. Alas, I didn't do it due to time constraint.
Enjoy your trip!
