I'm arriving in HoChiMinh on the 28th and connecting straight away onto a flight to Nha Trang. I booked the seats to Nha Trang 2 weeks ago and got practically the last 2 seats. I also booked accomodation for that weekend in Nha Trang and most places were already full or only had the most expensive rooms available. Rooms available everywhere from the 1st May when everyone is checking out but then I expect travel will be very difficult on that day. I would imagine that Hoi An will be just as busy that entire long weekend so good luck hunting down somewhere to stay.

There are many places to stay that are not listed on the internet, do a walk around and you will find many small mini hotels,look for the words Khach San,hotel.

I managed to book 5 nights in Nha Trang, including the long weekend, online just yesterday.....working on my travel plans on getting there right now....

I don't disagree with what you're saying....remember my post a few days back FCIG?? that gave me the fear and I was turned down by many places..very relieved to have secured my digs in Nha Trang over the long weekend!

Slightly off topic...but can anyone confirm or deny that it is possible to Train from Quy Nhon to Nha Trang??? - I have been getting differing advice. Some posters on here saying you can! I'm in Ha Noi right now and spent a few hours walking the streets talking with the Tour / Travel offices and they say the only option is the bus !! Anyone care to comment please?

Yes, have secured my tickets today in Hoi An....will get a lift from Quy Nhon out to Dieu Tri to catch the Train on the day - pretty happy to have all that locked down.
