Zadar - Split - Dubrovnik (Bus travel)Hi there,
My girlfriend an I would like to go to Croatia this summer. We've already look for flights and etc, but we are not so sure about the bus transportation.
When we arrive at the airport of Zadar, we'd like to go to Dubrovnik and stay there for a couple of days, after that we'd like to go to Split and stay there aswell for a couple of days. And atleast, the last few days we'd like to stay in Zadar. But to go to all these places we've decided to go by bus but we have not clue at all which bus company can help us out.
Thanks in advance,

bus travel in Croatia is ridiculously easy. Go to the bus station, say where you want to go, get your ticket. Why do you need to know the name of the bus company?

2#2 is right.
Bus travel in Croatia is reliable and easy. No difficulties. Just buy a ticket. You can buy in advance if you are concerned that the bus will fill on the days you wish to travel.

4I understand your rationale. It sounds like you might be flying with Ryanair. One option that might be worth looking at if you can tie in the flights is to get a flight to Leeds UK with Ryanair. Quite often they have offers for a little as 10 euro. Then see if you can tie up a flight from there to Dubrovnik. Jet2 fly there.
For all the travel info you need see the zadar travel section under Croatia at www.easteuropeangateway.com
This is a site that I am slowly putting together.

5When taking the bus, make a stop in Sibenik and visit the old town - it is on your way, anyway. Worth the visit.
Don't be deterred. Your trip makes a perfect sense, regardless of the above nonsense. There si a lot to see along the coast of Croatia.

6Do these buses run overnight from dubrovnik to Zadar? Trying to save on hostels by travelling overnight.

8I can't find an overnight bus. The last bus seems to leave at 21:00 but it only takes about 8 hours so you arrive in the wee hours of the morning.
