Healing in HawaiiGreetings friends:)
I am just putting myself out here because you never know what doors might open or what opportunities might present themself! It is probably pretty far fetched, but I have received a very crystal clear message to go to Hawaii and develop my energy healing work; work with Shamans. I was told specifically that Hawaii is where I have many teachers and guides and then many visions came dancing and swimming around me and within me and a beautiful path stretches out of my heart. I know I am having a hard time right now trusting and surrendering to the universe, but I don't have much travel money to go there to start my work as a divine healer.. So I guess right now I am just wondering if anyone out there in this big wide world has some knowledge about healing work in Hawaii, how to go about it and how to do it with little cash...? ANY direction or guidance to help get my butt moving (as I know I have to, I am just too fearful) would be of sooo much appreciation!!! Like I said, I knwo this is far fetched but here I am giving it a go anyways;) And you never know what messages I might need to hear:) Thanks alll!!! Take wonderful care out there:)

5My time here in Peru is amazing (I am still here) and will be living and working at a retreat center for the next 2 months continuing my work with the medicine and plant diets, and then I am hoping to go to Hawaii (probably not for another year though), but have some things to learn beforehand.. and am starting some research! I am in a period of a lot of transition right now and have been taking the last month as a vow of stillness, going within. My creativity has been awakening and I am enjoying the opportunity to be completely present with it. It has been the best thing I've ever done in my life, coming to Peru and working with the maestro I've been working with and I am stepping into myself, knowing that I have all the strength, courage, patience, acceptance, joy, love, abundance in my heart center. It had been resting and waiting for my awareness for many years. Thank you for asking, I am obviously keeping the topic light, as it seems people do get offended by my expressing these things. I am still learning how to deal with rejection, but am being compassionate and patient!:)
Thanks to all for your input, I appreciate it all!

7As yaguri says, Kalani wouldn't be a bad place to start looking for contacts/advice. There are actually quite a few commune-type places in the Puna district of the Big Island where someone with your interest might be welcomed. It's probably the part of the state you're most likely to find a cheapish place to get started, even if you don't stay round there. Try searching for "intentional communtry puna hawaii" or some such, and you'll find a load of links. Or start here: directory.ic.org/intentional_communities_in_Hawaii.
Btw, don't forget to learn some critical thinking skills along with your energy healing or whatever it is, OK?

8I thought of Kalani as well: spent some time there many years ago.
Here's a FWIW for you: I asked about Peru because you've been on these forums just a few times asking vague questions without ever contributing anything. That's not a good way to be taken seriously. Since many of those responding are old, dried out, used up, reactive relics of their more vibrant younger selves (c.f., #4, but maybe including myself as well), you might want to post something about where you're at, what you're learning, and how others might benefit.
Or not: it's up to you. But in doing so you're more likely to draw serious responses than if you appear every now and then to ask about Haida Guaii and Hawaii without, as it seems, doing much research on your own first.
Hope that's helpful, and hope it all works out for you.

9I guess your right.. I haven't been using this forum for the right reasons and I am embarrassed and feel foolish now. Just wasn't expecting these kinds of responses I guess and am put in my place.
But everybody learns in a different way. It seems I have learnt more about other things than about Hawaii or Haida Guaii.

10Dani, I didn't mean to tell you you're doing things wrong. I meant to suggest ways you could do things that would work better for you. That's very different.
Everyone here has done stupid, embarrassing and altogether foolish stuff on the internet--no one need look very far for evidence. It's all about learning and moving forward. Also, of course, about maintaining an open, learning attitude as we grow older, and about sharing what we learn with others.
There are definitely people here who know Haida Guaii and Hawaii better than you do, but there are arenas where you know about stuff that they don't. You can be a valuable resource to others here if you choose.
Look into Kalani Honua and the Puno region in general, as suggested above.
Hope that's helpful.
