There are many American trained and board certified physicians. A typical office visit is 300-350 p's. Maybe look at Mexico because that $1380 increases by approximately 28% as of ,now, due the devaluation of the Mxn peso. And it looks like it is going to get stuck at 13+/- and inflation is not bad. I have a house in San Cristobal, Chiapas, and I couldn't outspend my budget if I tried. Sleep apnea is a pain in the ass. So bring whatever you need, medication, breathing devices, etc. Because every Filipino I know is good at sleeping (relaxing) and eating fish and rice. But you'll be fine here.91
I retract my my Mexico suggestion, because of your comment about English only, but you can take a crash course for about 7-10 days, and pick it up from there Spanish is easy to learn. I would take Mexico over Philippines any day92
If the price sounds high, ask for the "last price", and see if you get something different. If you still don't like it, walk away. As soon as you turn your back you're likely to hear the bottom price the seller is willing to give. If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it.the vendors are packed close together in most markets, and they can at least see if not hear what is going on. If the initial vendor overprices it, don't give them a second chance. Go to one of their rivals, who has seen them make the mistake.
