to Montebello lakes and Panajachel from San Cristobal de Las Casas
Hi,I will be in San Cristobal on 23-24th April and I was wondering if anybody would like to go to Montebello lakes on any of these days
and/or heads to Panajachel on 25th April? If yes, we could go together.
Also a question, if anybody knows the fair price of the Montebello-tour and a shuttle to Panajachel? Which agencies in San Cristobal are recommended/reliable for these?

Walk up Calle Guadalupe Real and you will find about 5 or 6 tour operators. The one I have used is Otissa. They will only take you to the border where you will board another tour operator. I don't remember the price but it was not expensive. None of the operators will go beyond the border and the Guatemalan operators do NOT have as nice of vans.4
It seems to me upon looking at a map of the area that if you're going to Lago Montebello, you're already halfway to the Guatemala border and you may as well continue on your own rather than return to San Cristobal de Las Casas on a tour.5
#4 that is a good idea, but it may be difficult to get a ride to Guatemala from Montebello.
