IRAN - KASHAN & QOM (TRANSPORTATION & ACCOMMODATION)
Dear Travellers,Another quick question, we are arriving IKA airport apporx 0450 hours (4.50 morning) and plan to go down to Tehran South Bus Station for direct bus to Kashan - my many questions
01 - Bus service to Kashan. Will there be any bus going to Kashan probably around 6.00 morning and how often the service ?
02 - How long is the journey to Kashan from Tehran (I read up, it's approx 3hours journey) and how much it will cost ?
03 - Kashan Accommodation details - LP did not have the full accmmodation information for Golestan Inn, Khan-e-Ehsan, Mosaferkhaneh-ye Gochariyan and Sayyah Hotel. Anyone can provide some additional details for us to make necessary booking ? and any other good budget accommodation at Kashan ?
04 - Qom Day Trip - It's possible to make a Day trip to Qom from Kashan or it's better to make a Day trip from Tehran ?
05 - Onward bus service to Esfahan. Will there be any bus service from Kashan to Esfahan, from the map view - it's the road leading to Esfahan and eventually to Shiraz. Appreciated some confirmation ?

Hi1 - usually there are bus for Kashan everyday but I'm not sure about 6 o'clock . some times buss move about 10 or 11 o'clock. their service depend your bus. there are different type of buss. but most of them are good.
2- yes it take about 3 or 4 hours . it price is lesser 10$ for per person by bus.
3- there are different type of hotels but you should to reserve your room by phone and you should call them. send me PM for other information.

4- it's better to make a Day trip from Tehran.
5- Yes there are bus service from Kashan to Esfahan. some times there are bus service every day.

02 - Depends on traffic, took me less than 4 hours from Kashan to Teheran Bus Station. Price was like 3-4 dolars
03 - I arrived there and checked like 4-5 hostels. Some of the places in the LP were closed (in dic 2009), so I stayed finally in Khan-e-Ehsan, very nice place but not the chepeast in Iran. Didn´t book anything in advance.
04 - ad2007 (You could stop by in your way from Teheran (the bus passes through), but not sure about a place to leave the luggage...)

Don´t forget to take a minitrip to Abyaneh while you´re in Kashan.

Hello Chris,I would recommend http://www.noghlihouse.com/ in Kashan, you see Kashan and also the "real" side of Iran as this place is run by a family friend of ours. It is bang in the old center behin Aga Bozorg Mosque a 5 minute walk from Ehsan House.
Qom is halfway between Tehran and Kashan so if you are heading south it makes sense to see it before getting to Kashan. You ma want to consider getting a cab directly from the IKA to Qom you make time and money that way, see Qom and then a bus to KAshan the same day or the day after.
There are buses to Isfahan from Kashan all the time, bus transportation between cities in Iran is very good and very cheap, the buses are all European made and new, the drivers are good and the most they would costs between major cities are 10 euros.
