El Salvador to Managua

Hello,

I am trying to find the best way to link El Salvador to Managua. It seems that there is no night bus (which would be neat), anybody knows?

If there is no night bus, we will then cut the road and spend some time on San Salvador's coast. Any suggestions?

Thanks

It seems that you have to spend a night in El Salvador. I could not find any nught bus. Aside from one leaving at 3 am!!!

You could break the trip up by stopping on the Honduras gulf coast. Chuluteca City, Amapala on the island of El Tigre. Some nice beaches on the island. Not anything spectacular and the weather is hot but an interesting little corner of the world that not too many get to.

OP, there is a direct bus from GC to Managua on King Quality. Leaving at 3am is better than an overnight in San Sal.

There is a 6:30 am from Guat to Managua which arrives at 11pm. No overnights, too many borders.

Thank you all! I guess we will go for arriving as late as possible in El Salvador from Guate and then take the 3 am bus. Any advice on where to stay without having to pay for a full night at the hotel?

Thanks again!

Are you going with King Quality?

I will probably use that company, but maybe the 3 am bus... from el Salvador. There might be other companies (tica) arriving late at night in El Salvador). How safe/comfy is the King Quality bus terminal and is it actually open at night.

Spending a full day in a bus and arriving in managua at 11pm... that would mean two nights in unsafe city (one in Guat, one in managua!)
