slovenia itinerary and trek advice needed
Hi all,As part of a larger trip to Eastern Europe, my GF and I will be in Slovenia for 2 weeks. I have a couple questions on the preliminary itinerary:
7/15 Arrive Ljublana
Ljublana Base: day trip to Skofja Loka
Ljublana Base: CAR day trip to Predjama / Skokjan
Bohinj
4 day TREK to Kranjska Gora
Kranjska Gora
Bovec:
Bovec:
Bovec
Bled
Bled: Vintgar Gorge
Onward to Budapest
Questions:
1. The Trek: we want a beautiful 3-5 day trek. we have done many multi-day treks before, but have never done any mountaineering (i.e. walking on iron bars along a cliff face). I have read of one 4 day trek to KG that involves some scary sounding traverses, what are your suggestions here?
2. Bovec for 3 days for activities? Is Bovec a pretty place to just hang out, relax, do rafting and paragliding, otherwise just kick back, or would you suggest elsewhere?
3. have we allotted time appropriately? more time in Bled? Kobarid? Most Na Soci?
4. how will this route work out in terms of buses? does what were thinking make sense?
Thanks so much! the help is invaluable!

Hello!I would say half a day to explore Ljubljana is enough, so in my opinion you might be better doing this one evening or morning, rather than a whole day - we spent about 3 hours exploring the city and that was enough for us.
Bled is beautiful, we spent two and a half days there - we were only going to spend one! I would recommend 3 full days just to be around the lake as it really is beautiful, and we found it was a great resting place in the middle of a big interrail trip
Enjoy your holiday!
