Bayonne hotels/
We are arriving in Bayonne in Sept. on our way to St Jean Pied de Port and require a hotel/bed and breakfast for one night. We prefer it to be close to the train station if that is possible. Does anyone know this area very well? Is the train station in the centre of the city? Anything we should stay away from. Thank you.1
While I haven't stayed here, I'm aware that the Hotel Paris Madrid, which is situated on the Place de la Gare, right next to the train station, is highly recommended on Internet forums for pilgrims making their way to St Jean Pied de Port prior to beginning the Camino de Santiago.
