I already booked my flight to Legazpi and I was wondering if I should go to Donsol. I really really really wanna swim with the whale sharks. I would be in Donsol May 18 and would do the whale shark sighting then. Is that too late to go??? I could spend 3 nights there and try 2 days for the whale sharks if I couldn't see them the first time....please let me know asap!! Thank U:)
No such thing as 100% guarantee Im afraid, but I would say your chances are pretty good, still peak season for sightings and you say you like to see them in a respectful way.. Donsol would be the place to go..

When I went to Donsol, it was near the end of May, and I had six whaleshark sightings, so it should still be okay :). Don't forget to check out fireflies at night and the fishermen fishing with baskets and torches :).9
Donsol is the most established and organised for Whaleshark watching, Padre Burgos is more of a diving destination with Whalesharks as a bonus extra and Oslob is a relativley new Whaleshark destination where the Butanding have become accoustomed to being fed krill by the local fishermen and you can easliy snorkle with them but is less controllled in terms of limiting interaction. The best? for an organised experience probably Donsol..10
Does this also mean that we have a 100% guarantee to see them in Donsol in April. Furthermore we hope to see them in a respectful way....11

Maybe contact one of the local tour operators like: http://www.donsolwhaleshark.net/index.php and ask what the current situation is with sightings??
