need help with timings...
Hi,Please can someone help me with timings, I am staying at the Kurokawa Onsen in June and need to leave and reach Yakushima in the same day. I think there is a Rocket ferry from Kagoshima at 4pm, but is it possible to get a bus/ train from Kurokawa Onsen to Kagoshima and still catch the ferry at 4pm??

Yes, tight schedule and I would not attempt it in any country but Japan where trains are usually on time. At least you've got some time for lunch at Aso station.Print out any timetables/connections and maps you might need. Ask people for directions, particularly for the last (walking) part which I remember as not particularly pedestrian friendly running through some industrial/port landscape.
