Sending Parcel to Australia in Islamabad

Have got some stuff I need to send home.

Apart from the usual suspects DHL, UPS, FedEx etc, anyone know any cheap places to send a parcel, preferably by air.

Trying to avoid sending it by regular postal service.

Cheers

trying to avoid the local postal service is a very good idea. the last two parcels i spent, by land/sea, never arrived. maybe they're better when shipping via air. if you're sending anything you might actually miss i'd spend a little extra and use a currier that has insurance included. like all you've mentioned above.

Well, in 2011 I sent a very heavy parcel by surface mail ISB > CBR and it arrived more or less on schedule and intact. There was nothing of any great value in it, however.

There are thousands of travel offices in the Blue Area, especially in the blocks between Jinnah Ave and AKM Fazl-ul-Haq Road. Possibly you can find some freight forwarding companies among them.

Try Pakistan Post (http://www.pakpost.gov.pk/) it is cheaper and reliable.

I agree with #3. Just recently we sent two 20kg parcels (what is max weight), the price was ok and they arrived exactly when they told us to come - in 16 days to EU - intact.

Keep in mind that you shouldn't send electronic devices.

OCS is reliable and cheaper to send parcels overseas.

I sent it just Airmail by Pakpost.
Well it arrived. Exactly 15 days after, which is what they said.
Which is good, because it had backups of my photos, which I lost the originals. I was stressing.

Though Pakistan post is not very reliable because they open the parcels and sometimes things are completely destroyed when they reach the destination.

Try Skynet courier, pretty reliable and with good rates.
