Looking for travelmates, NZ North&South Island March 29 onwards
Just arrived in Auckland, and would like to explore North and South Islands over the next couple weeks. I'm a solo traveler and interested in renting a campervan/car with someone or catching a ride/sharing expenses. No set itinerary - am interested in hiking, extreme sports, big and small adventures, photography, seeing some amazing landscapes and exploring local culture.Can anyone advise where I could find travelers who are in the Auckland region who are interested in this? What campervans are best to rent, and where?

Most of the inner city hostels will have noticeboards of people looking for travelling companions. If you're lucky, some of them might even have a campervan/car already.There is gumtree.co.nz - I've never used it and have heard feedback that it's 'not as good as the one in Australia'. Also, you could try the local couchsurfing.org - I see several people there looking for travelling companions in the 'Nearby activities' section.

I would recommend either Wicked Campers NZ or getting to NZ and checking the hostels all over Auckland as there may be special deals on the bulletin boards within these places, I certainly found them useful when I last travelled. Hi we are an English couple arriving in Christchurch on 10th April for 10 days, looking to travel around most of the south island. Interested in doing a few outdoor activities and visit places like queenstown, Milford sound and franz josef glacier.
