Day or night bus Cusco-Puno

We're planning to take the bus Cusco to Puno in a couple of weeks, and our innkeeper recommended Inka Express, Turismo Mer and Wonder. Does anyone have an opinion on which of these would be better? I tried to book another trip on Inka Express online and kept getting redirected, making me think it might be a scam. Maybe I'll wait until I'm there and just book the trip a day or two early. Do they fill up?
