Me and my girlfriend are planning on travelling to Morocco this summer... we're then thinking of getting the ferry to Tarifa and doing a bit of Spain...
Does anyone know how to get to Cordoba from Tarifa? We've tried looking on-line and most people tend to ask for the reverse!
Also.. what is the general price of travel in Spain and is it better to buy an interrail pass or but tickets on the spot?
If anyone knows any hidden gems in Spain, we would both be very, very grateful!
Thank you very much!

It depends on your route. At the end the answer to this type of questions is always the same: do the maths to see if the pass is cheaper than point to point tickets.
Does anyone know how to get to Cordoba from Tarifa?
Bus from Tarifa to Sevilla (Bus Company: Comes) and another bus from Sevilla to Córdoba (bus company: Alsa)

2Hi *alishflora - and welcome to Thorn Tree.
I hope you have a very happy and long stay here, with us all.
"The general price of travel in Spain?" - you ask....
Impossible to answer on-the-spot.
One person on their own.... Possibly train or bus, depending on your itinerary, where your accommodation is etc.
If there's more than one person.... Rent-a-car will almost certainly be a cheaper option - and obviously allow you to stop when you like, where you like - and see so much more.
If it's your thing - then don't forget the budget airlines too.
However - if those two aren't options, then it'll usually be either bus, train or taxi. Train routes are a bit limited.
On-the-spot fares on the fast trains in any country (Spain is no exception), can be very expensive - and not every big town/city in Spain has train services.
As for the buses - I don't do them, so I'll leave others to give you a hand with that one.
The trains fares also vary in price, depending when you book, what company you choose to take (if there's a choice), where you're going from and too - and of course, how much time you've got.
Have a look at....
....and you can see just how much fares differentiate.
If you've time to take a slow train - or book well in advance, then there are cheaper fares available, away from the more expensive ones.
If you're just wanting to do Cordoba to Tarifa by bus - then it'll probably not work out too expensive.
The best of luck with everything.

If you don't want to go to Seville first, you can take a bus or train to Cordoba from Algeciras. This would be quicker and cheaper if you want to go straight there.
You can take a ferry from Tangier to Tarifa and hop on a free bus in Tarifa to Algeciras which is only about a half hour away. The bus is free with a FRS ferry ticket stub.....the bus is probably free with other ferry companies though I've never tried.
There are a couple other ferry ports you could leave from that would take you straight to Algeciras. Those would be Tangier Med and Ceuta. Tangier Med is about 45 min from Tangier. I wouldn't leave from Tangier Med because the ferries are longer and you would need to take a taxi to the port. Just leave from the regular Tangier port and take the free bus in Tarifa.
The other ferry port is leaving from the Spanish territory of Ceuta. That would take you straight to Algeciras.
Here is the bus schedule from Algeciras:
