gallo pinto is a staple in nicaragua also, but i always carried a small bottle of salsa inglesa/salsa lizano with me at all times when i was there a couple of weeks ago.. kicks the taste up a few notches, i love it and could eat every day, which i did.

Lizano, no trip to CR is complete without it, and some good Flor de Cana Rum from Nicaragua....
