Tickets to Machu Picchu during peak season

Hello,

I just wanted to get an idea of the likelihood of arriving in Cusco around late July / August, this year, and getting an admission ticket for Machu Picchu. I'm a student at the moment and I understand that currently booking online doesn't offer the discount and is only available in the registered Cusco office.

I plan to spend 5-7 days around Cusco and in neighbouring towns and cities, will five days be enough to secure a ticket or should I pay the normal admission price online to ensure my booking?

Thank you.

John

I'm also interested in Machu Pichu tickets, I will be there in early april. But I heard the tickets are already sold out until late july? What are my options? Money is an issue as I am a student but I do have a little to spend. I will probably make a thread later but for now I thought my question here might be sufficient.

@MCGeest - Looking on the Peru website http://www.machupicchu.gob.pe/ there is availability to get into MP from now to July. However if you are looking for Inca trail tour to MP then that's a different reservation and they may well be fully booked.
Now it's not peak season, so a regular vet may be able to tell you more.

I'm planning on making my own way there, via train and bus so I only need the day pass.

Hello,
can anybody help me with the tickets for Machu Picchu? If I buy the one with Huaynapicchu 1G 7,00 in the morning (does it include Machu Picchu), or is it only for the mountain????
