French courses in Mada and living costsHello!
I am going to Madagascar next month (Apri 2012l) and I would like to attend an intensive French course there (at least 2 months)! It is quite difficult to find detailed information about French courses (Alliance Francaise) or even prices. If someone could give me some tips to find a French course or a private French teacher in Madagascar, I would be grateful!
Another thing that I would like to know refers to living costs in Madagascar (food, transport and rent). Does anybody know how much I would spent for month to have a simple life (with enough food and a nice place to sleep)?

I think you can type on google "alliance Francaise " and you will see their contact so you contact them directly to ask them more information about your french course.
If i were you i rent a house for 2 months then cook your food for yourself because if you will stay in the hotel and have a meals on the restaurant it will be expensive for you. Imagine the hotel room rate is between 20 to 25€uro mid range and the food on restaurant is about 10 €uro; for the transport you can use taxi ville and 2 years we paid 5000 Ariary it was about 2 €uro for one way .

These French schools are all over the Big Island. They can offer you advise on learning French, either from courses or from the teachers who work there. They may know of housing in the area or you might be able to rent a room from someone who works at the school and learn French at the same time.
You can buy a bicycle for abut 20 usa dollars.
If you don't have google translate you can go to the left of your google tool bar on the wrench and adjust toolbar options to get google translate which will automatically translate French, as well as many other languages(-alas- Malagasy is not inside this yet.)
Then you can go to http://www.moov.mg/
read the local newspapers and all sort of info, money exchange, blogs, advertizments.
