Inti Raymi is always around the 21 June, the summer solstice of the Northern Hemisphere. Of what I know, the purifying ritual takes place at the Peguche Waterfall on the night to the 21st. The actual Inti Raymi celebrations (music, dance, rituals and a lot of drinking) happen during the weeks after the 21st mainly in the rural villages around Otavalo, all mixed up with catholic holidays of St. John and St. Peter...Some villages apparently celebrate until early August...
