San Miguel de Allende airport taxi Shuttle Bajiog left me strandedI was holding a confirmed reservation by Bajiog Shuttle for transportation from San Miguel de Allende to Queretaro airport Feb 22 pick up was requested for 10 am confirmed 10.15 am no problem. I called previous day to confirm by phone when I did not receive confirmation by e mail. I was given a reservation number by phone and later a confirmation by be mail. By 10.45 Baijiog Shuttle was a no show. I phoned and was told they would call backIn desperation we took to the streets and located a taxi willing to take us to the airport. The driver was inexperienced took back roads and got hopelessly lost on back roads including driving through a cow pasture. After buying gas he hailed down cars for directions as well as numerous people found along thr road for directions.I do not blame him I do blame Baijog Shuttle who left us stranded and did not even send an explanation or apology although they have my e mail address. We managed to get our flight but were pretty shaken up. I would suggest anyone booking Bajiog Shuttle consider having back up plans.
I had a great vacation in SMA but that was not the way I want to remember San Miguel de Allende.

3I hope telling my experience with Bajiog Shuttle Service will be of some help to other travellers . It is important to have a back up plan
and not just grab the first taxi in a rush when Baijog Shuttle leave you stranded. I also used this shuttle service on my arrival in San Miguel de Allendy without incident however the driver was rushing to get back to pick up another fare and seemed to be speeding at times and in a rush when we arrived at ous casa too.

4Friends and I have used this service many times for round trips to three airports with NO problems. The drivers were always on time (once at 3:15 am for an early flight from Mexico City). The drivers are courteous, speak English, and haul luggage. Perhaps there is a sound reason that the complainer's shuttle was late was due to another passenger not being ready on time. I can only blame the complainer for his/her stupidity in jumping into the first passing taxi and thinking he/she could go to the airport (1 1/2 hours away) wiithout problems. Some people just should never leave their own zip code!

6I used BajioGo for one-way service from the Leon Airport (BJX) to San Miguel in February 2012. My flight arrived on schedule at 8:40pm, perhaps a few minutes early and I breezed through customs. The driver was waiting for me when I walked out into the waiting area and we departed right away. I was in SMA by 10pm. No problems at all. Cost was $28 which I paid in advance online plus the tip I paid the driver upon arrival. It worked great for me.

7I agree that some people shouldn't leave their own zip code! In fact, I joined this forum simply because the original post, repeated on our local Civil List, so incensed me. (For those of us who now know the whole story, this passenger was NOT stranded.) As a 10-year resident of San Miguel de Allende, I and my visitors have used the BajioGo shuttle service at least 30 times, to and from both Leon and Mexico City airports, with 100 percent satisfaction. In fact on 2/22, the same morning as the incident reported, BajioGo sent a taxi (at no extra charge) before 6:00 AM to get my houseguest to Leon in time for his flight, because he had foolishly booked it between regularly-scheduled shuttle services. I have nothing but praise for BajioGo, but none for someone who blames others for his own panic and impatience.

8I've never posted on a travel forum but just had to relate my experience with Bajiogo last summer. We had rented a house beginning on a Saturday for two weeks and planned to fly from DFW to Queretaro on Saturday morning. I arranged for airport shuttle with Bajiogo as we had used them on previous trips. No problems. The story has to do with our 4 guests who were all flying on American Airlines employee passes from DFW to Leon. Since they had no idea which flight they could get on, their own arrangements with Bajiogo were uncertain. The owner, Luis, said to just phone on his USA line as they were boarding and he would send someone to meet their flight. The problem was they hopped a flight late Friday night and though it was no problem for Bajio it was a problem as the house in SMA was not available Friday night...so a hotel was necessary. Luis suggested a hotel near the Leon airport and told them to take a taxi to the hotel that night and he'd pick them up at their hotel on Saturday. Sure enough, at 9AM sharp Bajio was at their hotel and they were the first to arrive at our rental on Saturday. One more thing...we had wifi internet but no printer in the house rental. No problem. Bajio let us use their computer and print our boarding passes the day before we left. One more thing...on the return all 6 of us flew out of Queretaro and Bajiogo gave us an unsolicitated discount since we filled the Suburban. They only charged us $100 total for 6 rides. I've recommended Bajiogo to other travelers when they ask. Mike

9Three people register with LP today and, wow, they just happen to stumble across this review of Bajiong and decide to post their favorable recommendations. Yea. Believe they're not trolls and I have some waterfront property in the Gobi to sell you. If there's smoke there is most often fire. I think the OP must have touched a nerve, and the knee jerk reaction is obvious.

10I had a fantastic trip with BajioGo today to the Monarch Butterflies. A taxi picked me up at 6:45am and we arrived at the bus near Hotel Real de Minas just before 7am. Everything went as planned and we were returned to the bus stop at 8:30pm. BajioGo also provided a taxi to return home which was a nice gesture.
This is not the same as an airport shuttle service but still I would recommend anyone to use their service.

12Yesterday I arrived in Querataro at 12:45. Luis was there on time, smiling and ready to rush me to San Miguel as he has been for the past three years. I would not consider using anyone else. My friends arrive Tuesday and I am confident they will get the same wonderful service I did. Mistakes do happen but it seems so very unfair to continue to ruin his good name. The day prior to travel I always drop an e mail to confirm my arrival or departure. I am a very satisfied customer.
