India Ideas
I currently live in Saudi Arabia and have 10 days holiday in late March. I have never been to South Asia before and I am considering going to either India or Sri Lanka. I am keen to go to places that are green, have interesting sights, and some form of nightlife (basically the opposite of Saudi). Some people have suggested Goa yet I've heard it's over-flowing with 18 year old backpackers - is this true?
Any advice or feedback would be greatly received,
Regards,
Jonathan

You can visit Goa and Kerala both in 10 days, while kerala is more of backwaters and greenery, goa is more hep.If you want to party and have fun, goa's the place. There are places in goa where in they have night parties or parties along beaches.Goa's a party capital of India, and you wont regret it.
If you want to know what goa is all about: check the video in my blog to get an idea:

Cafe's in Goa now close at about 10 pm because of the elections. The election of Congress is in march. You might be lucky just to miss it. I was recently in Southern Goa. No 18 yr old backpackers there.5
hiiii highly advise you to go to kerala "God's own country"... you should definitely visit and 10 days would be perfect time. kerala will suit your interest as mentioned.. there are many interesting places for you to see like Alleppey, thekkady, cochin, mararikulam..
