Can you do Kuta, Gili T and Komodo in 10 days?Hi,
I am going to Indonesia very shortly and am currently trying to plan what I can feasibly do. I would really like to go to Kuta, Gili T and one of the Komodo islands if possible. Unfortunately our flights are in and out from Jakarta so we will have considerable travelling time, we arrive on March 11th morning and leave late on 20th March.
Do you think we can feasibly fit in these three considering the distance and transport between? If so could someone possibly recommend how they would do it time-wise and transport-wise (we do not mind too much what order they are done in as long as we make it back to the airport in time)?

1Shouldn't be a problem, Brad.
BTW, do you mean Kuta, Bali, or Kuta, Lombok?
Jakarta - Denpasar: among other airlines, check out Citilink.
Denpasar - Lombok
Lombok/Denpasar - Labuan Bajo
Labuan Bajo - Jakarta
Do Kuta, Bali, first, then Lombok, and finally, Labuan Bajo.
Towards the end of your trip, take a flight from Lombok/Denpasar to Labuan Bajo. Stay two nights at the Bayview Gardens, which would be my choice in LB, go on a day trip to Rinca Island, where the Komodo dragons can best be seen in their natural habitat, and then take a flight to Jakarta, e.g. with Lion. Domestic flights are cheap. Find the airline links here. If you have to stay one night in Jkt., I recommend the Formule1 Cikini, a budget hotel, and the Six Degrees, a backpackers hostel. Both places are very conveniently located transport-wise, if you have to arrive there from the airport and go to the airport. They are situated in the Jl. Cikini Raya area, which is a pleasant one.
For your trip to Rinca, I recommend Hendrik and Arman.
You may also want to check out South Lombok. The beaches are awesome there, and it is closer to the new airport. My recommendation of accommodation in South Lombok is the Mimpi Manis.
And for a last fling in cosmopolitan Jkt., I recommend Die Stube : )
Enjoy your trip,

2I agree with cflamboyant's reccomended route.
Here's what my friends and I did when going to Komodo National park. http://indohoy.com/trip/komodo-national-park-east-nusa-tenggara-natural-wonder-land-and-sea
we flew from Jakarta to Denpasar on a night flight, spent a night at a homestay near airport, flew with first flight the next morning to Labuan Bajo. We spent about 4 or 5 days total in Labuan bajo + Komodo islands and lived on board.
Kuta Bali is only about 20 minutes from airport, it shouldn't take up much of your time getting there. Jimbaran isn't so far from Kuta, and I think it's better because it's less crowded. but that depends on what you like.

Thank you very much for your advice and recommendations. After much deliberation I think my friend and I will be visiting Lombok, Gili T and Komodo. We had planned all the flights with Lion Air however the payment process just didn't seem to work no matter what we tried. Has any one else experienced this? Can you recommend any other cheap internal flight companies we could try as we are struggling to find flights to meet the itinerary we planned? Also are internal flights a lot more expensive if you turn up on the day and book at the airport in Indonesia?
