Flights from England to Burkina Faso
Hello ThereI want to spend 3-4 weeks backpacking round Burkina Dec-Jan. But flights are prohibitively expensive (even when checking flights from Brussels or Paris to Ouaga). And Pointe Afrique seems to have gone under again.
Does anyone know of how to get a reasonably priced flight to Burkina?
Thanks in advance.

Mostly 500-600 pound mark.http://booking.travelcenteruk.co.uk/searchResultFlex.aspx?Air=
Could be cheaper to fly to Accra, and get a public bus from Accra to Ouagoudougou.....then you'd need a double entry Ghana visa however.

It can be early to buy a flight to Ouaga if your travel dates are Dec-Jan but don't expect to find a bargain. There are few options: Air France, Brussels Airlines, Royal Air Maroc are the main ones. If you fly out of Paris, you could take a look also at Air Algerie (they also fly out of London but not daily and the flights from Algiers to Ouaga aren't daily either so take a look at the schedule to see if you can make that route out of London without staying overnight in Algiers) and, maybe, at Air Burkina and Aigle Azur. Take a look at the webs of these airlines, monitor them to see if any of them makes at some point a special sales for your travel dates...3
It is early, although generally I would advise to book earlier rather than laterRAM are in trouble, be very careful if you want to book a ticket now with them. IF they go under, you need to be sure to get your money back!
Afriqiyah (Libya) should be flying again in the next few months, any website you find with them, ignore it as there are a lot of scams with their name out there at the moment. However, they are looking at flying soon & will hopefully have some good deals again! Air Burkina might be offering some specials later in the year from French airports ..
With the economic & political turbulence going on right now, sit tight!

it depends what you call reasonably priced ticket. Burkina was never a cheap destination and december january is high season for this countrycheapest flights with AF will be from Paris, maybe you can get a cheaper ticket to Bamako and then you have a 10 hr bus ride to Bobo Dioulasso in a reliable company called TCV, but this means double entry visa to mali
