The last one looked lovely :) It feels like it shouldn't be a problem to fine something. But my husbend prefers Kovalam, its short and easy to get to trivandrum from there. So an option is to take 3 nights at Trivandrum and then leave for Varkala. We arrive at 3am so one thought is to find some places in advance but skip to book them and instead check them out on arrival.
I have got a lot of tips and ideas from here, thank you :) Any good tips for trivandrum too?
btw, ketheram is very expensive, mu is a bit of dive (that's why it's rec on TA!)
Do you know the price for train trips between varkala and trivandrum?
In trivandrum we will stay for a few days only if so, but i would prefer kovalam. If we stay in varkala I think we are more trapped... and I don't like that the beach is "free" from Indians.

maitraya: Do you know how long it is to the beach and everything els? It was something like that I was out for :) The apartments had a price for one month and it was around the double from our budget, the room on the other hand wasn't. So Maybe its a good idea to stay there the first nights and look for something "for real".Aurin: Thanky you :) Do you know their location? I send them a mail :)

There are frequent trains to Varkala, 45 mins. Or taxi. If your in Trivandrum i would suggest the zoo.btw, ketheram is very expensive, mu is a bit of dive (that's why it's rec on TA!)

zoo doesn't seem like a good idea, i hate Swedish zoos and what i heard about this one is not better (big understatement) but we'r going to a national park later onDo you know the price for train trips between varkala and trivandrum?
