more vehicle questionsOur party of four adults wants to rent a vehicle to go from Liberia to Rio Celeste, Arenal area, then drive down to Jaco to return vehicle before we head to Montezuma. My question is, can we get away with a car up there, or do we still need the clearance of a 4x4? Thanks for any info. D.

1no need for 4x4 really. the roads from liberia to bijagua are all paved and in good shape. the road from highway 6 to the entrance of the national park for the hike to the rio celeste is gravel but in good shape (new) and you can do it in a sedan.
having a 4x4 means better ground clearance and gives you some amount of confidence should you want to do some exploring.
