Cairo – Jordan Transport Query (accommodation too!)
Hey guys, I’m travelling through Egypt and on to Jordan in March… hopefully. I’ve tried researching and contacting hotels for info but they are taking for ever to reply and I need the answers soon! If you have the answers to any of these questions I will love you! (Sorry if these questions have been asked/answered before - the amount of information has overloaded and fried my brain)First – I’m looking for a way to get from CAIRO on the 5th March to the Bishbishi hotel/hostel in DAHAB. I’ve heard that Bishbishi can arrange transport but I can’t find out how to book it or how much it is/ Alternatively, I’ve heard of the East Delta Bus Co??
Questions - Where and when do East Delta buses leave from CAIRO, does it go into DAHAB, how long does it take and how much money should I expect to pay?
Second – I’ve heard the BishBishi hotel/hostel is able to organise ferry passage from TABA to AQABA?
Questions – Is this true, how much would it cost and how long does it take? Any times?
Third – Presuming I’ve now made it to AQABA (?!), I was looking to stay either at Al-Anbat II hotel or the Valley Stars hotel as they are both reasonably near to Petra –
Questions - What is a reasonable taxi fare to get from AQABA to these hotels? And how in the world do I barter?!
Forth (and last!) – From Al-Anbat/ Petra hostels/hotels, what is a reasonable taxi price to get to AMMAN, and how long would that trip take?
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for any help you can offer me - And please, be SPECIFIC with answers, my brain is already turned to mush from trying to figure out other websites!

I do believe the Cairo to Taba road is closed. Was told this by our taxi driver today. Which means you need to go to Sharm first, then up from there. The ferry leaves from Neuwiba (If I am not mistaken). No tourists now, so am guessing it would be easy to get a seat. Most hotels here can arrange this.
My friend was just at Valley Stars. He was NOT happy. And seemed to have been scammed on his trip to Wadi Rum. They do have a shuttle to petra for free, but not near the entrance at all. But, in town and easy to find cheap eats.
Are you not doing Wadi Rum? It's amazing and you should put it on your itinerary for sure. 30JD from Aquaba to Wadi Rum. 5JD from there to Petra if the bus is running, 25 if not.
To Amman, you might be able to hook up with the Jet bus, but I don't know the details.
