warning...be careful at Guadalajara primera bus stationhola,
on saturday, my husband and i bought tickets at the primera bus station and stepped into the entry way. a professional looking guy asked a question in spanish, i replied i didn´t speak spanish and he stepped to ask the bus personnel what bus he should take, and he did not move to number 11. meanwhile, his co'hort grabbed my knapsack which i never even saw, but my husband did and shouted for me to chase after him. i did so and when i got to the outside of the bus station i saw one man with two items in his hand. by the time i looked to the left and the right he was gone. Gone too was my laptop, camera, cell phone and guide book from the lonely planet.
what a lesson. we didn´t lose our money and weren´t hurt. So, a lesson in learning to not let go of our guard. be wary. hold onto or sit on your backpack.
wishing good luck to all who visit here. we love mexico and have learned a hard lesson. most people are kind and good and very helpful. we are on our way to guatemala.
