Places to stay in the philippines for $10 a night or less.
I have been looking around the philippines for places to stay which cost $10 us dollars or less a night.and the best I have seen are the 22 GV hotels www.gvhotels.com.ph prices from Just php330 a night.
thats a fan room for two people with own bathroom and tv.
you can now book all 22 GV hotels on line. (and more to open soon).
they now have 3 in Cebu. also on bohol island. and Camiguin island. all over mindanao island. and Leyte/Samar islands
Also good are the 10 (Sampaguita tourist inns) prices from php150 a night.

also Ong ban pension houses www.ongban.com now open in iloilo and bacolod. fan rooms from php150 a night.

Good to see there are some cheaper places to stay in the PI, pity they dont have any on Palawan.Those GV prices are a bit misleading, those are promotional rates 50% not regular rates see link: http://www.gvhotels.com.ph/promo-rates-2/

Go hotels have opened a budget place in PalawanRun by company that controls Cebu Pacific
Dont expect any thrills but if you book early they can be cheap

Parkview hotel in CDO is a good deal a fan room for two out side c.r cable tv for php325.or air.con with cable tv for php400.
Also a good deal in Iligan is the Famous pension house old and new.
nice clean rooms with a.c cable tv own bathroom from php400.
the price of the GV hotel lapu-lapu is from php450. that is a good deal for near Cebu airport.
the yellow Jeppney from Cebu airport goes passed php8.

I'm going to be in Butuan early April, any recommendations for reasonable accommodation there? I've stayed at the Almont City Hotel, just for one nite, it was 1500php for 2 including breakfast. I might be there for a couple nites in April and want something in the 800 - 1000p range or cheaper as long as its not too grotty.12
