Best place to propose in the Philippines?
Hi all,I am doing some reasearch on where are the most popular, extoic and romantic places to propose to your partner in the Philippines.
I'm lost for ideas so any thoughts and recommendations would be fantastic! We are based in Hong Kong and looking to go away on vacation and thought this would be a great time to propose.
I’m keen to find out if there are any places you have heard about, thought about, or even proposed to your partner at that you’d be happy to share.
I’m also looking for original ideas/places that would make a good location to capture my proposal on camera.
Any ideas, tips thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

in cebu city the lookout is just known as "tops", everyone there knows it. the bell doesn't have a name, it just has a plaque detailing "ring the bell 1 time for .........., ring 2 times for true friendship, ring 3 times for everlasting love"late afternoon is a good time to go there, watch the sunset & see the lights of cebu city

My friends got engaged in Palawan. They hired a private boat to go island hopping from El Nido, the guy of the couple previously arranged with the boat guy to arrange for a table on the beach on one of the islands and got a fresh crab meal cooked. They said it was really special - here is a link to their blog http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Philippines/Palawan/El-Nido/blog-462047.html

any idea what the name of the bell and mountain isI just looked at my Tops video. The name on the sign attached to the bell says "The Bell". Unfortunately with my bad filming, I cut off what one ring is for except that I could read "firm" so maybe one ring is firm friendship.

I have no idea what the mountain is called either. However, if you tell any taxi driver that you want to go to the Tops, you will end up at the lookout called the Top. It over looks Cebu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City and Mactan island. On a clear day, you can also see the islands of Leyte and Bohol. The Top can also be done as part of a Metro Cebu day tour.
Other suggestions
- The Chocolate Hills lookout at Carmen on Bohol
- Kawasan Falls on the island of Cebu
- Any nice beach
Other suggestions without pics but I have video if you want
- Katibawasan Falls on Camiguin Island
- Hilltop Gardens overlooking Davao City, with Mount Apo in the distance.
- Cambugahay falls on the island of Siquijor
- Inside the Hinagdanan Cave on Panglao Island, Bohol
I was going to suggest Taal Volcano then thought better of it as anything that erupts should be avoided where marriage is concerned
I personally proposed to my ex wife at Victoria Spring on the island of Leyte but it is gone now along with the marriage.
