3 questions about Kuala Lumpur
So first of all I would like to know how realistic it would be to arrive at 1.30pm at the airport and try to catch a bus to Penang (or any other destinations) the same day? If yes, how would I do that?2nd, I want to invest in a new camera there. Do you think it's better to buy it in town or would it be cheaper at the airport on Duty Free? If it's the same or better in town, could you tell me a couple of genuine places? I want to buy a Canon so I don't know if I'd find cheaper in shops other than Canon.
Last but not least, a little later I will have about one week with my sister to do a couple of things around KL. Any suggestions of an itinerary? Knowing that we would have already done KL.

1....Realistic in that it can be done...but you are going to arrive in Penang pretty late.You have to get through customs etc...get onto KL...then to the bus station..then 4 or 5 hour bus ride to penang.Of course you could just take a budget flight KL to Penang.........much quicker and probably cheaper too.

On your week in KL with your sister consider a side trip to Melaka for a few days.Very easy to get to from the new bus station,some great places to stay and lots to see

Thank you for your reply! For a cheap flight to Penang, would it be with air asia or another company?For the week itinerary it would be all outside of KL as we would have already done it! So other places not too far and worth the short trip! What is there to do/see in Melaka?

Air asia would probably be the cheapest ....Melaka is a good bet...cultural things (museums,temples etc),good food,nice countryside around....a week there is pretty long though.
