food prices - Moalboal White Beach

Hi,

are the restaurants on White Beach expensive, do you have examples? are there any cheap alternatives in walking distance (probably gonna stay on the very northern end)?

can anybody compare prices at White Beach with Panagsama Beach?

thank you.

Yes they will be relatively expensive, never eaten there as too expensive hehehe, look at 250php plus for most meals. Some inexpensive places to eat along the seafront in Panagsama and even few small eaterys if you look hard enough, and great eatery in Moalboal village in the market, good meal for 50php.

the meals on the resorts are around the 180 mark, a bit more in the restos at Panagsama, i.e. about the norm for tourist areas in Philippines. Budget eating can be found in town. Prices are more in White beach.

At Panagsama beach, the majority of the resort restaurants are all around the same price for meals. A sandwich for lunch is around 150 pesos and a main meal is anything from 180 pesos upwards depending on what you eat. A veggie curry was around 145 pesos, fish or chicken curry 200 pesos, some meals went up to 250 pesos.

It is quite pricey for food - going into Panagsama village will only work if you have hired your own bike, what you spend on the trike ride there (minimum 100 pesos if you are a good haggler!) will negate the saving on the food.
