Answersbelow and hope it helps:
1.You dont have to change your money into local currency as there is no local currency.Zimbabawe has a USD based currency so everything from shops , to hotels and transport is priced in USD.Oter currencies which you can use in Zimbabwe is Rand, Pula , Euro, Pound.Exchange rates might be not good from one place to another so you are better off with USD.
2.In the town center there is Shoestrings backpackers and they charge $10 for a dorm bed, $35 for a private room or te Victoria Falls Rest Camp and they charge $11 for a dorm bed,$20 for a dome tent and $25 for a single chalet(all communal bath and shower at the rest camp)
3.There are local buses which you can get on a daily basis. They depart Bulawayo around 9 in the morning and arrive Vic Falls around 6 in the evening and cost +-$15. Then ther is a luxury coach Pathfinder which departs Bulawayo at 1430hrs and arrives in Vic FAlls at 2030hrs and you are looking at +-$25.
4 You can stay at Burkes Paradise.Their rooms are USD15 per night(Phone +263 9 246481)
5&6.Not really sure about the last 2 but can find outxx

3In Vic Falls I´d recommend the Rest Camp. Friendly, clean and with Security. I had a look at Shoestrings but it looked like a garbage dump, staff seemed to be doped and one guy just had his valuables stolen there, so I decided to stay at the Rest Camp instead.
Bulawayo: Take the night train to Vic Falls, 12 US$ first class sleeper, saves you a night´s accommodation, but 1st class may not be what you´d think it is. Still ok though.
Masvingo: New-looking Mercedes Sprinter buses do the run to Bulawayo when full, 10 US$, leave near the intersection in town, just ask, everybody knows. Hotels are overpriced and/or a dump, better stay near Great Zimbabwe for example at Norma Jeane´s, nice budget rooms for 20 US$ or so.
