Bukit Bintang Suggestions...

Hi,

Does anyone have any suggestions for the below in the Bukit Bintang area of KL.

  • Somewhere to watch English football & NRL games.
  • Any recommendations for Restaurants of an evening ($10-30AUD a main)? From what I've been reading about the place there's plenty of options but I wasn't sure if any stood out.

Cheers

Changkat BB has so many pubs and bars, many of which will show football and other sports. Also many eating places there of all different international cuisines.
Lots of Arab food in the main road at BB opposite Lot 10.
Harder to find good local food, some nice eating places in Pavilion. Secret Recipe near McDs does good and quite cheap local food.

I didn't know about Jalan Alor. I've just had a look & it seems like there's plenty of places to eat long there.

Jln Alor is famous for the food stalls and small restaurants. It's a bustling place. Only problem is most menus don't have prices and it is a bit of a tourist trap, which locals tend to avoid. You will find them trying to offer you expensive items like prawns, whole fish etc etc. Check the prices first.

Changkat Bukit Bintang is the place to be to catch the football games, have a drink or two and have a bite (mostly western restaurants).

With regards to choosing the place, just go to the most crowded bar/restaurant. Always a good indicator of good food or reasonable prices :)

For some local food, try Binjai (high-end Malay food) or Jalan Alor (hawker food).
