Taxi etiquette (?) at Poipet.
What i'm trying to say is how does one go about getting a shared taxi from Poipet to either Kampot or PP without having the usual hassle from touts/chancers on the border. I have done it before but it was very painful. Is the best place to get one at the bus station?
The last bus to PP form Poipet is around 9.30am or has this changed?
Oh, and what time does the border open.
Many thanks,
angsta.

I'm pretty sure the border opens at 7am. I'm not sure what time the last bus leaves but I'm pretty sure there will be a later bus departing than that. The other option could be to change in Battambang. With regards to Taxis, there are planty outside the bus station in town. I was there last week and got a share taxi with two others to SR for $10 each. Don't let them take you on the free shuttle bus to the Tourist station out of town, as once you are there there are no other options. This border is getting increasingly hassle free

Is it tales of Asia that has the detail on this type of thing?
