Hotel In Ratoma, Conakry

Finding a even slightly reasonable hotel in Conakry can be difficult, so I'm pleased to report that I've found one that I quite enjoy out in Ratoma.

It's the Motel Nimba that is a few hundred meters off the main drag on the side street that branches off just past Club Oxegene (towards KSK) just opposite Cyber Ratoma. About a hundred meters up (past the Abijan restaurant, go right at the fork, then about a hundred meters further you'll see the green sign pointing to the left. Run by friendly Liberians (so english is easy), if you give them a call from the main road, they'll send somebody down to fetch you and your bags.

I'm paying 200000 gf, but I was exhausted when I arrived. If I had been more on my game, I likely could have gotten the room for much less.

Aaron is the primary fellow: 65793217

But other numbers are: 64180471 and 64277764

Thanks for the tip! Absolutely agree, Conakry is difficult for decent budget options, so I will check this one out.

Do they have much land with the hotel for camping, or strictly only rooms available?

It's a pretty large walled compound, so my guess is that camping would be fine out back.

The price did indeed quickly drop to 150000 GF when I renegotiated after a couple of days (that's for a large room with bath and fan).

Aaron is friendly, but also primarily responsible for the higher rate I was paying. I'd start with the other two numbers if I were doing it again.

It's been a VERY comfortable place for me.
