Sulawesi travel adviceIm planning a trip to sulawesi with a fly into Manado and fly out of Makassar within a 9 day window in February;
Could you recommend the best places to visit along the way? and how long it will roughly take?
im not sure if 9 days is enough and i may need some plane trips to shorten the distance so would appreciate your advice on the feasibility and whether its worth just traveling around the south or north

1Its nowhere near enough time...Sulawesi is huge and transport is slow.
What do you want to see there? Why did you choose Sulawesi?

3Tough decision. I would stay in the north for three days exploring in and around Manado and then fly to Makassar and head directly to Toraja for four days. It will take two days bus travel from Makassar to Toraja(coming and going) but will give you a good taste of the Toraja area. Suluwesi has too many things to offer in such a short time. Go to two of the best destinations and next time plan a little longer journey.

5I'd stick to one or the other end,but if you have a lot of energy you could follow #4 suggestion...there are also night buses to and from Makassar-Rantepao,so you could save a bit of time.
If you are interested in culture i don't think you can beat Toraja......
