TT administration has proved more than efficient of late in removing posts. I'm sure that they'll get around to those stickies pretty soon.

Since the earthquakes there have been over 5000 aftershocks, yet the people still come. If I had booked a flight, it wouldn't stop me from going either.

With all due respect to Errol who started this thread and people who added their stories and thoughts, I think the time has come to remove this as a "sticky". It has now been over a year and the value of reminiscing and updates is past its due date.

While I understand that for people outside Christchurch this "sticky" may seem past its use-by date, for those living daily with the consequences and for those trying to decide whether to visit or not it is still important as things are changing weekly.

Good news is that the Gondola re-opened this week - stunning views across the Canterbury plains and a shortened version of the tram is also due to open this month.
