4 Days 3 Nights Itinerary, during pre and Chinese New Year Holiday
Hello,I nd advise to plan my itinerary for 4 days 3 nights in Singapore. I will arrive at Changi Airport at 7am on 21st Jan 2012, and will be flying out on Jan 24th, at 9.30pm. I plan to stay at Inncrowd Backpackers (near Little India). Since the checking in time is 12.30pm, what must I do in the morning? Visit Botanical Garden? I also plan to go to Universal Studios (Sentosa Island) on Dec 23rd, which is the Chinese New Year (public holiday). Since I'm travelling during this festive season - meaning to say that most shops will be close on Jan 23 & Jan 24, I nd advise on planning which one to visit first. I also want to do some budget shopping.

Anita: Just because the stated check in time is at 12:30 does not necessarily mean that you cannot check in before then. It just gives the hotel tiime to clean the room before you show up expecting your room to be ready. It's possible your room will be ready early...just depends on chance.Secondly, I wouldn't plan on doing much budget shopping in Singapore...there aren't many real bargains except for food. Singapore is a really expensive city!

Thx putriduyung for the reply & advises, but unfortunately that didnt answer my question. Just FYI, I hv read reviews about the place I wanna stay and I knew that I can only check in at 12.30pm (I can leave my luggage at the reception though, and go somewhere to kill the time). As for budget shopping, if u r Singaporean, I'm sure u hv heard about Bugis Village Bazaar, Little India & Chinatown....4
If you plan to visit any major tourist attractions such as Universal Studios during CNY, it is best to buy your ticket in advance just to be safe.6
Please remember that its Chinese New Year - and the town is dead - hardly anything opens and Chinatown is likely to be the quiestest of all places. Depending on what you want to shop you are better in Little India area - though a lot of people jump on the bandwagon of CNY and take an opportunity to really stop work.Im not sure if Mustafa will be open 00- most likely but good to check first..I would imagine you can check in before 12.30
