Two Weeks in Cambodia

I've been forced to take 2 weeks leave at the start of February and have decided on Cambodia. Has anyone got any ideas of either an itinery or "must see" places to go, things to see, off the usual tourist trails? Apart from beaches I'm into anything, am an experienced traveller and have a decent budget. I'll be flying in and out of Phnom Penh.

why not check out the Cardamom Mountains in Koh Kong? Experience the jungle while it is still there. Here are some options:

Rainbow Lodge

Chi Phat Ecotourism (scroll down to the middle of the page):

I just found Chi Phat's web site: http://www.ecoadventurecambodia.com/

"hi. i live in siem reap. there are some beautiful temples here." I'd like to nominate that as the understatement of the year before the calender page flips over to 2012,

See the Real Cambodia'See the countryside' is an independent tour which offers travelers the opportunity to visit rural Cambodia and promote much needed tourism to some of the less traveled areas of Cambodia.

Off The Beaten Path, take a tour to our local village

"The village is located 20km outside of Phnom Penh ,the journey take under 1 hour and takes in the sites of outer suburbs of Phnom Penh and the surrounding countryside of the Kandal province along the way.

The village itself is so small the it has no name, it is referred to as the village on corner number 1..."

Thanks for all these contributions. I now have 2 guide books, airline tickets and enough threads and links to keep me busy till I depart.
