New Years in Cambodia Suggestion? Beach tip?Where would you suggest a visitor be for New Years in Cambodia?
I am visiting Cambodia for 13 days, arriving Dec 28 in PPenh. I dont have any definite plans, thinking to split time between beaches/hiking in the SW Koh Kong area and Angor Wat. Because I arrive on Dec 28, I will either first head to Angor Wat or SW, and spend New Years wherever I am. Where would you suggest going? I am not looking for a Times Square ball dropping extravaganza, just thought that if there is something special about New Years somewhere in Cambodia, I should go there.
Also, what beach area in Cambodia would you recommend I visit? I was thinking the Koh Kong area, but am open to suggestions.
Note: any other cant miss places to include for a 13 day visit such as mine, feel free to throw down as well! I am a 26 US male in good shape, looking for some hiking, beach, history and generally to explore Cambodia.

4You have to bear in mind that Khmer New Year is at a completely different time of year than "our" new year, so the 31st Dec thing isn't a big thing in Cambodia (shame you're not there for Khmer New Year!). It's therefore only be celebrated in the popular expat and tourist cities/towns - i.e. Siem Reap, Phnom Pen and S'ville.
