Caribbean holiday in decemberHello everyone, Iam planning a summer holiday for 10 days end of December to start of January and I am having trouble deciding which islland or islands to visit. We are a couple with a 18month baby travelling from Europe and I am trying to find an island that is easy to access, not too long flights and waiting at airports if possible. I would like to visit maybe a couple of islands and find a place where we can do hiking trips, enjoy wildlife and nature, feel safe and not have to do extra vaccinations if possible. I am reading about Santa Lucia, bermudas, Dominique, Martinique, all sounds so exciting and so confusing at the same time when it comes to decide. I think main issues are time and effort to get there and vaccines. So anywhere with this in mind!
Thank you all in advance, enjoy the world :)

1"easy to access, not too long flights and waiting at airports if possible" -- you don't even say where you are coming from (other than Europe) so we have absolutely no way of knowing if you have direct flight options or not. Go to Kayak.com and type in your point of departure and some of the islands you are interested in to see what your connections are. If you are coming from, say, France, you should be able to get direct flights to Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Maarten and perhaps other islands.
"I would like to visit maybe a couple of islands and find a place where we can do hiking trips, enjoy wildlife and nature" -- the islands you mentioned (other than Bermuda, which isn't even in the Caribbean and which would not be a particularly good choice for December) would all be very good for this. In fact, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique and St. Lucia are all connected by ferry so those would be good islands to focus on.
"not have to do extra vaccinations if possible" -- other than for Haiti, you shouldn't have to get extra vaccinations anywhere else in the Caribbean.

2By the way, from a safety standpoint, the Caribbean is a pretty safe place. Currently, the only places I would advise against going to from a safety standpoint would be Trinidad and Tobago (under a state of emergency due to "drug wars" that have escalated recently) and Haiti (at least for your purposes of vacationing with an 18 month old).
