Book B&B/hotels beforehand?Hi All,
we will be independently travelling through Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand during the first 2 weeks of August 2011.
In order to be flexible with our itinerary we only want to book a B&B/hotel for the first night in Khiva, all following nights we would then book just the day before.
The reason for doing this is that we can't predict how many days we would want to stay in Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand.
Is this a feasible approach? Or are all good B&Bs/hotels fully booked during this period and it is better to book before arriving?
Thanks for any advice.

1Nowadays B&B/hotels are not so overcrowded , there are not a lot of tourists in Uzbekistan now. That`s will be better only to book the first night in Khiva. I advice you to research beforehand about what hotels are OK for you in Samarkand and Bukhara, and when in Uz, call them 1 day before arriving.

3And I think that is a good news for you, because it means that the whole Uzbekistan will be in your hands.

4Not very high, I'm sure. Just half or 1/3 of rooms in hotels are busy in general. The two peaks are end of March-mid of June and end of August-end of October. But booking hotels beforehand may be more comfortable in some points anyway. Even if independent trip with undefined time of staying in each city is more romantic, yeap! have a nice trip!!!

6The month of august will be Ramadon or fasting time of Muslim -- I am also thinking to visit there the same period with you.
I think it will be easy to find the accomodation there during that time due to not many local people travel however I am not sure if it will be difficult to find the restaurant or not?
