As soon as arrive, register yourself with as many temping agencies as possible and start sending CVs using online. Also you can search on monster, reed.co.uk or bonsoni.com for jobs, houseshare etc.

Hi to all!

My name is Alberto, I'm from Portugal and I'm a Bsc in Chemical Engineering. My background and experience is in manufacturing operations, quality and production management, 5-6 years of experience. I'm unemployed now and
considering moving to London next September to try to get a job.
Any recomendations, guys?
Thanks

Hi Alberto,

I guess my only advice would be to have an open mind and start applying to decent places and start working. Please also apply in your field as well, but don't be too choosy unless you have enough funds to survive. Many employers would ask for a six months u.k experience. Get a cheap phone; get your N.I and bank account sorted; register with the local G.P; get a pad; draft a c.v highlighting basic skills say, I.T or so needed for the targetted work?; register with the agencies and make loads of friends.

Good luck
