LP Members I was thinking of bring my whole money in USD due USD rates in UK) I am bit concerned i was thinking of bring around 1500 cash keeping the money in my suitcase do you think there could be chance that hotel staff could break into my bag take my cash?I am traveling to Africa - 1500 USD a lot of money your advise will be helpful.

I think you will lose too much money changing Pounds Stirling to USD with bank exchange rates (which will almost certainly be less than 'official' exchange rates) plus bank fees in the UK.If you are set on taking the whole lot with you - which I would NEVER do, far too risky - I wouldn't let it out of my sight. Get a decent money belt that goes under your clothes and doesn't look bulky.
Why don't you want to use a Visa card / cash card / Visa Debit card? This will save you a lot of worry and they are very easy to get from your bank. They work everywhere in Egypt

David I have used Master-cash card but I am still an old fashion.when i visited Germany in 2009 that is when i used the cash card) but I still like cash
I am still concerned of ATM fraud - while holidaymakers who went Tunisia - who used debate card or cash card lost all most all there money.
Regarding - i am not losing to much money I think i am gain bit from it few pounds here and there. Hopeful I will get a money belt keep my cash with me. Do you think Hotel staff could big into my bags?
