Last week I sent my passport to travel agency to do my Myanmar visa using forms available from the travel agency, the travel agency called yesterday and said that the application form has changed to new one. Need to refill the new forms with more details needed. For kids, was told thumb print was needed also. Facing tight schedule for collecting my passport. Don't ever trust the visa application service from the travel agency, give yourself double the time allowance if apply thru them. So, anyone applying the Myanmar visa better make sure you get the right application form to avoid delays.

Today i have submitted the Tourist visa application form in KL

Take LRT to Ambang Park and exit the right hand side, where taxis are available. Drive to embassy takes RM 5 to 6/-

Embassy accepts applications up to 12.30

Form is available at the counter. On entering the embassy go straight in front of the main gate which is the Tourist / Business visa counter.

The staff are very friendly and co operative. It took just 10 Minutes to submit the form. The form is very simple.

Have the following with you

1. Visa application form ( which is available at the counter)
2. Two Passport size photographs
3. Photo copy of main page of passport
4. Return Air ticket ( I have applied for same day service)

As i have applied for same day service for which RM 150/- is charged.
For normal RM 80/- is charged

Photo copy service is available near the restaurant with in the embassy campus.

Results will be known tomorrow. All the whole the exercise was very pleasant..

The Form needs to be signed by your Boss. This means you need two trips to the Myanmar Embassy. If you can send me your e mail id can send you the Tourist visa application form.

Meanwhile i visited the Myanmar for two days. Very friendly country to visit. Absolutely no issues with immigration. Nice & Clean Airport terminal. Enjoyed the trip to Yangon..

Post 19 was really helpful. Collected mine today from the Ampang Hilir, KL embassy and it took less than 5 mins! What a breeze,,

Just to add..

Only 1 copy of the application form is required.
Photographs - 2 copies. 1 for the form, the other is for them to put onto your visa.

Collection date is stated on the receipt issued upon payment and submission of the form.
Collection window opens 4-5pm.

Tourist visa is valid for 28 days from the date of application form submission.

Tourist visa is valid for 28 days from the date of application form submission.

I think you got that wrong...

I think the visa is valid for entry for 3 months from date of application/issue.. for a stay of up to 28 days...

Just applied for my Myanmar visa in Kuala Lumpur. I paid 110RM and said it'd take a day. Opening hours between 930-1230. I picked up my visa the next day between 1600-1700. I submitted two passport photos but they gave the second one back to me. Dunno why. Hope that helps.

Hi intwanderer,

Good day to you!

Do you still have the tourist visa application form? Is it possible to email to me and is the email form usable for the application?

Thank you.

Thanks for the useful information. Another source of info I found including a comment from me below. Beware of getting a visa in Singapore.
