I'm going to be in Myanmar in about a week for six full days, just got my visa in Malaysia. I'll be arriving in Yangon, and I want to go to Bagan and back. I've read that airlines in Myanmar are spotty so I'd like to travel overland. Is there a direct train from Yangon to Bagan, I've heard some people say there is and others say there no longer is one. If not does anyone know a good way to get to Bagan from Yangon and back overland? Would it be possible if posters could leave when they last got their info, since there appear to be a lot of recent changes.
